Simpler login with your Google Account For Youtube

You are currently logged into YouTube with your Google Account! After receiving feedback from our users, we’ve rolled out changes to make it easier for you to log into YouTube using just your Google Account.

Using your Google Account, you can now log into YouTube and access many features previously available only to users who set up a YouTube Channel. Once logged in with your Google Account, you can now like videos, subscribe to channels, and flag videos using just your Google Account. You can also add videos to Watch Later.

While you're logged in, YouTube will keep track of your viewing history, and use videos you’ve watched, videos you’ve liked, and your subscriptions to recommend other videos for you to enjoy. With 48 hours of video uploaded every minute, we’re sure to find you at least a couple more videos worth watching!

Over the months ahead, we will be enabling additional YouTube features to work with your Google Account. At present, some YouTube features (for example, uploading videos, commenting on videos) continue to require a YouTube Channel; at any time while logged into YouTube with your Google Account, you may upgrade to a YouTube Channel to use these features. Over time, we expect all of these features to work with either your Google Account or your YouTube Channel.

We will update our Help Center resources to document additional features as they’re released to work with your Google Account. We hope that you enjoy your more personalized YouTube experience!
Are you trying to link your legacy (pre-May 2009) YouTube account to this Google Account? If so, you'll need to migrate your data to this Google Account, since it already has a YouTube login. Make sure you're signed into the Google Account you'd like to link to, then click here to migrate your account.
